Balanced Scorecard has been a buzz word in Ethiopian public Service for almost a decade now. It however did win let alone acceptance but understanding among the management of public organizations as much as expected. There are of course a number of reasons for that. Leadership commitment to understand and get the most out of it has been a challenge in my observation.
Our effort at Nizenu Education Services Plc has taken it to the second generation. We are now using the adopted model of the tool to help starting and middle level businesses in their Planning, Performance Measurement and Communication activities.
Nizenu Organized and Facilitated a training on BSC focusing on Performance Management and Identification of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Ministry of Peace and its reporting organizations.
The Training was an eye opening and showed the participants the potential role that the tool can play in transforming the perception and practice in Strategic Planning and Reporting between and among organizations.
